Our Story

It all started with a swipe right - well, technically two! We first connected on Hinge in 2021 and chatted briefly, but life had other plans. Fast forward to August 2022, when Jake updated his Hinge profile with a photo featuring a familiar face - Austin, a mutual friend, Jake's childhood buddy, and Angelina's coworker. That small update sparked a second chance, and soon after, we re-matched. Our first date was at Sandbar in Cold Spring Harbor on September 9, 2022, and the connection was instant. After just a few dates filled with laughter, great food, and long conversations, Jake officially asked Angelina to be his girlfriend on October 2, 2022, a date that will forever hold special meaning as it's now the day we'll say "I do" exactly four years later. On March 16, 2025, during a trip to Paris, we had a dinner planned at Jules Verne, the restaurant inside the Eiffel Tower. Before dinner, Jake suggested a stroll along the river, and that walk turned into pure magic. White roses, flickering candles, and rose petals lined the path, and there, under the soft glow of the Parisian evening, Jake got down on one knee and asked Angelina to marry him. It was a fairytale moment we'll treasure forever! We're endlessly grateful for the love and support of our family and friends, and we can't wait to celebrate the start of our forever surrounded by those who have shaped our story and shared in our joy.

Complimentary round-trip transportation will be provided between the hotel and the venue, departing from Moxy NYC Downtown at 4:50 PM. Please note that the hotel's destination fee will be waived upon check-out.

A complimentary shuttle for hotel guests will be available, departing from Moxy NYC Downtown at 4:50 PM. The shuttle will drop off guests at the venue's taxi/rideshare drop-off point and will provide return transportation after the reception.

For&nbsp;Lyft, enter “Prospect Park Audubon Center at the Boathouse” for the correct address. For&nbsp;Uber, enter “The Prospect Park Boathouse &amp; Audubon Center” for the correct address. Drop-off guests will arrive at 101 Ocean Ave at Lincoln Rd. Cross the street into Prospect Park and follow East Lake Dr. After crossing East Dr, continue straight, taking the path down the hill, and then turn right to go through the tunnel.

Q, S, OR B TRAINS TO PROSPECT PARK STATION

Exit the south end of the station toward Lincoln Rd. Turn right and walk towards the traffic light at Ocean Ave. Cross the street into Prospect Park and follow East Lake Dr. After crossing East Dr, continue straight, taking the path down the hill, and then turn right to go through the tunnel.

SELF-PARKING GUESTS: DIRECTIONS FROM GRAND ARMY PLAZA

If driving and parking at event, enter Prospect Park just south of 452 Flatbush Ave on Willink Dr. Proceed halfway around the traffic circle to continue on Flatbush Ave (Botanic Garden on left, Park on right). Just after passing the Zoo and Lefferts Historic House (452 Flatbush Ave) on the right, make a right turn onto Willink Drive, the brick-paved park entrance, one hundred feet before the traffic light at Empire Blvd. Staff will direct you where to park along Willink Drive. From there it is a short walk to the Boathouse.

AIR TRAVEL

For our guests traveling from out of town, we recommend flying into either John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or LaGuardia Airport (LGA) for the most convenient access to Brooklyn and the Prospect Park area. From the airport, rideshare, taxis, or rental cars are all readily available.

A Note to Our Guests: Our ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Please plan your arrival with enough time to account for city traffic and a short walk from the parking area or drop-off point to the venue. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
